The inspection and repair of the radiator of a
diesel generator setmainly include the following steps:
Appearance inspection: Regularly inspect the appearance of the radiator to see if there is any deformation, damage, or blockage. For blocked heat sinks, a soft bristled brush or compressed air should be used for cleaning, avoiding the use of sharp tools to prevent damage to the heat sinks.
Sealing inspection: By blocking the inlet and outlet of the radiator and applying pressure internally, observe whether there are bubbles emerging to determine the sealing. If a leak is found, it should be repaired in a timely manner to prevent poor heat dissipation caused by coolant loss.
Cooling system inspection: Regularly check the level and quality of the coolant to ensure it is within the normal range. If necessary, replace the coolant with a new one to maintain the heat dissipation effect.
Fan and belt inspection: Ensure that the fan blades are not damaged, running smoothly without any abnormal noise. Check if the tension of the belt driving the fan is appropriate. If it is too loose or too tight, it will affect the fan speed and thus affect the heat dissipation efficiency.
Temperature sensor inspection: Ensure that the temperature sensor is working properly and avoid abnormal operation of the cooling system due to false alarms. Regularly calibrate the temperature sensor to ensure its accuracy.
Repair method for radiator:
Welding repair: For small cracks or damages in the radiator, soldering can be used for repair. Firstly, wipe off the oil stains at the welding point, then scrape out a new metal layer, heat it up and apply solder for repair.
Replace damaged components: In the case of blocked or flattened core tubes, it is necessary to replace the damaged core tubes or components. When individual core tubes cannot be unblocked, no more than two blocked core tubes are allowed.
Through the above steps of inspection and repair, the normal operation of the radiator of the diesel generator set can be effectively ensured and its service life can be extended.
