1. Gas composition requirements: The main fuels of
gas generator sets include natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and coal-to-gas. Among them, natural gas has become the main fuel for most gas generator sets due to its environmental protection and economy. The methane content in natural gas is one of the important indicators for evaluating its quality. It is usually required that the methane content is not less than 90% to ensure high combustion efficiency and low pollutant emissions.
2. Gas pressure requirements: The stability of gas pressure is very important for the operation of the generator set. Too low pressure may lead to insufficient gas supply and affect the output power of the generator set; too high pressure may damage gas pipelines and valves, and may cause safety accidents. Therefore, gas generator sets have clear requirements for gas pressure. Usually, the pressure of natural gas before entering the generator set should be controlled between 80-200kpa, and the pressure change rate should not exceed 1kpa/min.
3. Gas temperature requirements: Gas temperature also has an important impact on the operation of the generator set. Too high a gas temperature may damage the gas pipeline and valve, and affect the combustion efficiency; while too low a temperature may cause the moisture in the gas to condense, forming ice blockage, and affecting the gas circulation. Therefore, the gas generator set requires that the gas temperature shall not exceed 40°C to prevent the equipment from overheating.
4. Gas humidity requirements: The moisture content in the gas is also one of the important factors affecting the operation of the generator set. Excessive moisture will increase the corrosion risk of the gas pipeline and equipment, and condense into ice at low temperatures, blocking the gas channel. Therefore, the gas generator set has strict restrictions on the moisture content in the gas.
The impact of gas composition, pressure, temperature and humidity on the operation of gas generator sets
The composition, pressure, temperature and humidity of the gas directly affect the operating efficiency and safety of the gas generator set. Appropriate composition and pressure can ensure the full combustion of the gas and improve the power generation efficiency; appropriate temperature and humidity can prevent equipment damage and failure, and ensure the long-term stable operation of the equipment. Therefore, these requirements for gas are the key to ensuring the stable operation of the gas generator set.
